A single-channel linearised interferometer, is used for nanoindentation of soft materials. OP1550 is a measurement tool of high precision used in nanotechnology labs. The optical configuration is based on a Fabry-Perot interferometer (see the box), which projects the interference of two reflections of a laser beam on a photodiode. For this project we have designed a PCB layout, the firmware and PC software for data visualization.
