A small but efficient baggage tracker, that automatically detects movements and switches itself on, goes into sleep mode with the door of the aircraft closing and automatically wakes up arriving at the airport. The location data is sending to the system where you can monitor the exact location of your baggage in real-time. A long-lasting battery will be enough for several weeks.

The main challenge was to develop a system that accurately detects plane takeoff and landing to comply with strict European aviation regulations. The device needed to be in flight mode during the flight and activate immediately after landing to transmit the exact location.
We worked with the client to prepare the concept of IoT device and develop electronic elements, as well as embedded software and secure communication between the device and the cloud. Our comprehensive solution allows the position of baggage to be determined using a unique combination of available technologies: GSM, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth. We also added smart features such as automatic flight mode, meaning the Versa device sleeps during the flight, in compliance with aviation regulations.
