We developed an innovative design through consecutive prototyping, which allowed us to keep refreshing the formula and eliminating the issues that had previously arisen with the product. We were able to deliver a better design in the most cost effective way, as we could select and adapt technologies as the process developed. The success of the execution is confirmed by the planned sale of 150,000 items per year.
We helped the kitchenware company create a smart coffee maker that automates the brewing process and keeps beverages hot for longer while retaining the fresh flavour. We provided the core electronics, including a range of smart sensors, and were able to achieve all requested design goals—developing a low-cost, high-performance solution that is now mass-produced for use in a range of household products. The company came to us with an idea that had hit a roadblock. They needed something that was high quality and had advanced functionality, whilst still being intuitive and attractive to use. Rather than fix an imperfect solution and inherit the problems it had, we took the bold step of stripping the solution back to its foundations and building a new, bespoke version from scratch.
