Interactive educational block game for children with different types of games for individual or joint play. The cards placed in the wrong sequence are discarded from the playing board, the correctly selected cards bounce and vibrate. The playing board collects statistics of games and determines what problems the child faces, how long it took him to solve a particular task, how many attempts or hints were used along the way to the correct answer. The game can work with the phone or independently.
YOLI was established in Copenhagen in 2019 by Anders Poulsen and Niklas Marschall. It began with a vision to provide children with the best learning conditions and a smoother start to their school life. What started as ambitious ideas and basic prototypes evolved into the interactive board we have today.
Yoli is a game on the border of new technologies and timeless board games. It develops imagination and fine motor skills. The game board is intelligent and interactive. It emits sound and tactile signals and collects data on the child's progress. You can track how quickly he/she solves problems, what problems arise, and how many attempts it takes to obtain the correct answer. Some games may require a smartphone connection and some work independently. In any case, parents and teachers will get the game’s statistics on their cell phones. In order to meet all connectivity needs, we used Bluetooth Low Energy and NFC technology.
We always try to give more than is expected. In the case of this project, we not only developed hardware, software, and performed all necessary testing, but also found reliable partners for the development of the game board design. In addition, specifically for the needs of this project, we developed an electromagnet; a task other companies didn’t want to take on.
