Grinn, an IoT and electronics design house and a provider of cutting-edge solutions for embedded systems and IoT applications, is proud to announce the official unveiling of the Grinn Terrasat-NTN. Designed for seamless connectivity in remote and challenging environments, this advanced satellite IoT reference design will be showcased at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona—the world's largest and most influential connectivity event—taking place from March 3 to March 6, 2025.
Developed in collaboration with Skylo and KYOCERA AVX, the Grinn Terrasat-NTN integrates state-of-the-art technology to enable reliable satellite communication in real-world applications. Supporting 3GPP Release 14 standards, including LTE Cat M1 and LTE NB1, it ensures connectivity even in areas beyond the reach of terrestrial networks.
The Grinn Terrasat-NTN is equipped with a high-precision u-blox GNSS L1/L5 receiver, enabling accurate positioning and navigation even in remote or challenging environments. This advanced GNSS capability enhances the device’s suitability for a wide range of applications, including asset tracking, fleet management, precision agriculture, environmental monitoring, and industrial automation.
By combining satellite communication, precise geolocation, integrated environmental sensors, and a power-efficient design in a compact form factor, the device provides businesses with reliable, real-time data to optimize operations and improve decision-making in the field.
"Satellite IoT is redefining how industries stay connected in the most remote locations. With the Grinn Terrasat-NTN, we’re making this technology more accessible, efficient, and practical for real-world use," said Robert Otręba, CEO of Grinn. "Through our collaboration with Skylo and KYOCERA AVX, we are creating future-ready solutions that provide businesses with reliable global connectivity."
Visitors to MWC Barcelona 2025 are invited to see the Grinn Terrasat-NTN demo device at Skylo’s booth (Hall 4, Stand 4F30) and explore how satellite IoT is transforming industries.
