The Grinn EvseSOM RPI HAT is a Raspberry Pi-compatible evaluation and development platform built around the Grinn EvseSOM, designed to simplify the integration and testing of eMobility charging applications. It combines the EvseSOM with the interfaces, protection circuitry, and EVSE communication peripherals needed to build and evaluate charging solutions with minimal additional hardware.
The HAT exposes UART, Control Pilot (CP), and Proximity Pilot (PP) interfaces, with onboard switches for simulating different cable current capacities. A hardware dual-interlock safety loop provides additional control over the relay enable signal, allowing both the EvseSOM and host processor to control the charging current path.
With flexible power supply options and accessible host and EVSE interfaces, the Grinn EvseSOM RPI HAT provides a convenient platform for developing and evaluating eMobility charging applications.
