We're thrilled to announce our strategic collaboration with Würth Elektronik - a partnership designed to help companies bring intelligent IoT products to market faster.
At embedded world 2026, Grinn officially announced its collaboration with Würth Elektronik - one of the world's leading manufacturers and distributors of electronic and electromechanical components. This partnership marks an important milestone in our mission to make edge AI more accessible for product developers and manufacturers worldwide.
Introducing the Grinn GenioBoard - Edge AI SBC
The centerpiece of this collaboration is the Grinn GenioBoard - Edge AI SBC, now available directly through Würth Elektronik. Visitors to embedded world 2026 can see it live at booth 110 in hall 2.
The GenioBoard is purpose-built for edge AI in the IoT space, with a particular focus on computer vision. Real-world applications include:
- Remote monitoring and control with AI-supported person and/or object detection
- Computer vision for robotics applications in industry
- HMI solutions with gesture recognition
Powerful, Secure, and Energy-Efficient by Design
The GenioBoard is built around the GenioSOM-700, our system-on-module featuring the MediaTek MT8390 platform with integrated NPU and GPU. For applications where security is non-negotiable, the board features Infineon's OPTIGA™ Trust M SLS32AIA010M security module.
Connectivity and expandability are built in from the start. The board includes an M.2 M-Key slot for AI accelerators such as the DEEPX DX-M1 M, and an M.2 E-Key slot for cellular, Wi-Fi, and wireless modules. Through Würth Elektronik, customers will also have access to three dedicated M.2 modules for LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, along with matching antennas — all available as prototypes today.
Additionally, a sensor board for the 40-pin GPIO header enables rapid evaluation of pressure, acceleration, temperature, and humidity sensors — making early prototyping faster and more straightforward.
Why This Partnership Matters
Developing production-ready IoT products is hard. Developers often face challenges across EMC, power supply, thermal management, wireless connectivity, sensor integration, and cybersecurity — all at once. This partnership addresses exactly that.
By combining Grinn's 18 years of embedded systems expertise with Würth Elektronik's broad product portfolio and engineering consulting capabilities, we're creating a path that removes complexity for developers. Our Genio Systems-on-Modules and development board can typically help reduce the time from concept to finished product by twelve months.
"Through our collaboration with Grinn, we are becoming an edge AI design enabler. Whether EMC, power supply, thermal management, wireless, sensors, or cybersecurity – we combine all key competencies under one roof and support our customers on the entire journey from idea to production-ready end product," explains Alexander Gerfer, CTO at the Würth Elektronik eiSos Group. "In Grinn, we have a strong partner that has been developing pioneering systems for 18 years, with a commitment to quality and service orientation that fits us."
"With our Genio Systems-on-Modules and the development board, which can be seen at the Würth Elektronik booth at embedded world, developers can typically reduce the time from concept to finished product by twelve months. The support provided by Würth Elektronik will make it even easier for companies to implement robust, durable IoT solutions with intelligent peripherals," says Robert Orteba, CEO at Grinn sp. z o.o. "We are delighted to have found a strong and highly renowned partner in Würth Elektronik."
